The Smith Summit Mips is Smith’s lightest helmet and made for backcountry touring and mountaineering. With its triple certification, it meets international alpine skiing and mountaineering standards.
The helmet has a minimalist design with mountaineering details to keep it ultralight and ready for your alpine trek. There are Koroyd in several areas of the helmet, this is a fully ventilated material that absorbs more energy in a crash than a traditional foam construction. Additionally, this helmet is equipped with Mips, this is a technology that reduces rotational forces on the brain upon impact.
The Custom BOA 360 Fit System adjusts to the entire head for added comfort, and you can also fold it into the helmet for easy backpacking. The elastic loops also allow for secure attachment to the outside of a backpack. Integrated straps keep your headlamp in place, and the cap and balaclava compatible design allows you to adapt to all weather conditions. Thirty-three fixed vents keep the air moving and keep your glasses or goggles from fogging up.
